Whiplash from auto accidents or trauma can cause persistent neck pain, headaches, and stiffness. Dr. Bhakta provides interventional treatments when symptoms don't resolve with conservative care.
Whiplash is a neck injury caused by a sudden back-and-forth whipping motion of the head, most commonly from rear-end car accidents. This rapid motion can damage the muscles, ligaments, tendons, discs, and facet joints of the cervical spine.
While many whiplash injuries resolve within weeks, a significant percentage of patients develop chronic neck pain (whiplash-associated disorder) that persists for months or years, often due to facet joint injury or disc damage sustained during the initial trauma.
Dr. Bhakta creates an individualized plan based on your specific diagnosis and symptoms.
