Tendinitis Treatment
in Tulsa, Oklahoma

Tendinitis — inflammation of a tendon — can become chronic and debilitating when it doesn't respond to rest and therapy. Dr. Bhakta offers PRP and targeted injections for persistent tendon pain.

Understanding Tendinitis

Tendinitis is inflammation or irritation of a tendon, typically caused by repetitive motion, overuse, or aging. Common forms include Achilles tendinitis, patellar tendinitis (jumper's knee), rotator cuff tendinitis, and lateral epicondylitis (tennis elbow).

When tendinitis becomes chronic (tendinopathy), the tendon undergoes degenerative changes rather than active inflammation. PRP therapy is particularly effective for tendinopathy because it delivers growth factors that stimulate tissue repair.
