Spinal stenosis narrows the spinal canal, compressing nerves and causing pain during standing or walking. Dr. Bhakta offers minimally invasive treatments to relieve pressure and restore mobility.
Spinal stenosis is a narrowing of the spaces within the spine, which can put pressure on the spinal cord and nerve roots. The most common form is lumbar stenosis, which affects the lower back and can cause pain, numbness, or weakness in the legs — especially during walking or standing (a pattern called neurogenic claudication).
Cervical stenosis affects the neck and can cause similar symptoms in the arms and hands. Stenosis most commonly results from age-related degenerative changes including disc degeneration, facet joint enlargement, and thickening of spinal ligaments.
Dr. Bhakta creates an individualized plan based on your specific diagnosis and symptoms.
